Mr. and Mrs. Don Brooks of Guyton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katelin Ann “Katy,” to William David “Davy” Kirby, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Boles of Guyton and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Kirby of Swainsboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pinkley of Farmington, Mo. and Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Brooks of Dadeville, Ala.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Geneva Miller and the late William “Bill” Miller of Statesboro and Mrs. Hazel Kirby and the late David Kirby of Swainsboro.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 13 at the Tybee Island Pier.
