Mr. and Mrs. James Adonega Burns of Springfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Ginger Rebecca Burns, to Micheal Alan Cihla, son of Mr. Joseph Thomas Cihla and the late Mrs. Peggy Cihla of Rincon.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Davie Tyler and the late Mrs. Jennye Tyler of Springfield, and the late Mr. Bruce Burns and Mrs. Virginia Burns Wilson of Springfield.

She is a graduate of Effingham County High School and attended Georgia Southern University. She is employed by Effingham Health System as the social services and admissions director.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Anna Cihla of Lonsdale, Minn., and the late Mr. Cleveland and Mrs. Katherine Kilpatrick of Florida.

He is a graduate of Montgomery-Lonsdale High School of Minnesota and St. Cloud State University, Minnesota. He is employed by WTOC-TV as a news anchor.

The wedding is planned for February 13, 4:30 p.m., at New Ebenezer Retreat Center in Rincon. All friends and family are invited to attend.
