Tyler Stephen Myrick and Chandler Jordan Cook

Henry and Brigitte Cook of Talking Rock are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Chandler Jordan Cook to Mr. Tyler Stephen Myrick, son of Wallace and Patricia Myrick of Guyton.

Chandler is the granddaughter of Charlie and Kathy Chastain of Talking Rock and Charles and Carol Cook of Ball Ground. She is the great granddaughter of Kathryn Andrews of Talking Rock.

Tyler’s maternal grandparents are AJ and Bonnie Carter of Savannah and Joyce Carter of Pooler. His paternal grandparents are the late Wallace and Mary Myrick of Guyton.

Chandler is a 2012 graduate of Pickens High School and will complete her bachelor of science degree in nutrition and food science at Georgia Southern University in May of 2016.

Tyler graduated from Effingham County High School in 2010 and received his bachelor of business in logistics from Georgia Southern University in May. He is employed by Page International in Savannah.

The 2 p.m. ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 3 at the Chastain-Cook Family Farm in Talking Rock. Reception will follow at the same location. All family and friends are invited to attend. 

In the event of inclement weather, the wedding will be held at Cool Springs Baptist Church in Tate.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mixon of Guyton announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy Cierra Mixon, to Landon Harry Snooks, son of Steven and Harriett Snooks of Springfield. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hill, Sr. of Eatonton, Ga., and the great-granddaughter of James Harmon Sr. of Fort Valley, Ga. Cierra is a 2012 graduate of South Effingham High School and a 2017 graduate of Armstrong State University with a bachelor of science in Radiologic Science with a focus in cardiovascular science. Cierra is employed at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.
