Ms. Dawn Bragg Jeffers of Suwanee announces the engagement of her daughter, Devon Ashley Jeffers, to Luis Amilcar Valdes, son of Ms. Ofelia Armenteros Hernandez and Mr. Luis de la Concepción Valdés Palomino of Havana, Cuba. Ms. Jeffers is also the daughter of the late Mr. David E. Jeffers Jr.

Ms. Jeffers is the maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Betty Jo Bragg of Springfield and the late Mr. Caulay R. Bragg. Her paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. David Eugene Jeffers Sr. of Clyo.

Ms. Jeffers, a magna cum laude graduate of Valdosta State University, is currently employed as a web product analyst with Total System Services in Columbus.

Mr. Valdes is the maternal grandson of the late Mr. Antonio Armenteros Diaz and Mrs. Ceria Hernandez Concepción of Havana, Cuba. His paternal grandparents are the late Mr. José Elías Valdés Montano and Mrs. Alejandrina Palomino Suárez of Pinar del Rio, Cuba.

Mr. Valdes, a Master of Education from Columbus State University, is currently employed as a Spanish and biology teacher with the Muscogee County School District in Columbus.

The wedding will take place Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. at The Mackey House in Savannah. Invitations will be sent prior to the wedding.
