Ashley Monroe will marry Eric “Shay” Burton on Oct. 27, 2007, at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Guyton at 5 p.m.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Monroe of Guyton. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Bobbie Boatright and the late Mr. Clifford “Doc” Boatright of Newington and the late Mr. Jack Monroe of Cartersville and the late Mrs. Martha Kolaric of Pinellas Park, Fla.
The groom-elect is the son of Mrs. Pamela Morris of Guyton and Mr. John Burton of Guyton and is the grandson of Mr. Earl Brabham and the late Mrs. Joyce Brabham of Guyton and Mrs. Betty Godbee of Springfield and the late Mr. James “Jim” Burton of Springfield.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of South Effingham High School and a college graduate of South University where she received an Associates Degree in business. She is a billing specialist at Evans Delivery in Port Wentworth.
The groom-elect attended Effingham County High School and has plans to further his career in the electrical field where he is presently employed by Rabey Utilities.
A reception will be held at The Holiday Inn Express in Port Wentworth. The couple will reside in Pooler.
