Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Parker would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Ann, to Alston Robert Rahn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Rahn.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Newton and the late Shirley A. Newton and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Parker. She is a 2006 graduate of Effingham County High School and is employed at Effingham Animal Hospital.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Alton and Mary Rahn and Dora Reiser and the late Robert Reiser. He is a 2003 graduate of Effingham County High School and is employed with Gulfstream.

The wedding will take place June 7, 2008, at the home of H.B. and Cynthia Rahn at 819 Union Springs Rd, Clyo, at 7 p.m. A reception will follow the ceremony. Close family and friends are invited.

The couple will be spending their honeymoon in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
