Clinton Evan Hodges and Courtney Louise Redding

Mr. and Mrs. Steven K. (Gwinea) Burns of Rincon and Mr. Walter J. Redding Jr. of Huntsville, Ala., are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Louise Redding, to Clinton Evan Hodges, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Carlton H. (Joan) Hodges of Rincon.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William T. (Nancy) Dixon of Brooklet, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stanley (Louise) Riner Sr. of Rincon, Mrs. Anne Redding and the late Mr. Walter J. Redding Sr., of Ellabell. Miss Redding is also the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Myrtie Exley of Rincon. She graduated from South Effingham High School in 2008, attended Armstrong Atlantic State University and will graduate in September from Ogeechee Technical University with a degree in nursing.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Louise Kennedy, the late Mr. James E. Kennedy of Garden City and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hodges Sr. of Garden City. He graduated from South Effingham High School in 2004 and attended Armstrong Atlantic State University. He is employed by Effingham County Fire Rescue.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 6 p.m. at the Old Fellowship Baptist Church in Brooklet. A reception will follow in the church social hall. All family and friends are invited to attend.
