Dr. and Mrs. Bob Rogers of Rincon are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Marie Rogers, to James Philip Knight, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Knight of Rincon and Mrs. Denise Persekian of Fremont, Calif.

 

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Rev. and Mrs. Robert H. Rogers of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Mr. and Mrs. James Wade of Lake, Miss. She is a 2006 graduate of Effingham County High School and 2010 graduate of Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations. She is currently employed by SweetPea’s in Rincon.

 

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Ms. Jan Knight of Rincon, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Knight of Garden City and Ms. Marlene Hill of Rincon. He is a 2002 graduate of Effingham County High School, a 2005 graduate of Savannah Tech with an associate’s degree in criminal justice and a 2008 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He is currently employed by the Federal

Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller in Gulfport, Miss.

 

The wedding is planned for July 24, 2010, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Rincon. All friends and family are invited to attend.
