Billy and Laurie Schaffner, of Guyton, are pleased to announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Courtney Lynn, to Daniel James Peavy, son of Steve and Wendy Peavy of Rincon.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Bob and Judy Schaffner of Tallahassee, Fla., Marilyn and Joe Kenny of Guyton, Joan Fulcher of Guyton, and the late John C. (Jake) Fulcher. She is a 2005 graduate of South Effingham High School and will be a senior next year at Georgia Southern University. She plans to teach elementary school upon graduation in 2009.
The groom elect is the grandson of the late Herbert and Corene Peavy of Ocala, Fla., and James and Betty Boutwell Sr. of Lake City, Fla. He is a 2003 graduate of Effingham County High School and a 2008 graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Engineering and holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering.
The wedding is planned for 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at New Providence Baptist Church in Guyton. The couple will live in Effingham.
