Earl Smith and Donna Smith, formerly of Covington, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Faith Marie Smith, to Ryan Michael Aids, son of Marvin and Brenda Aids of Rincon.

The bride elect is a 2002 graduate of Eastside High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication from the University of Georgia in 2006. She currently resides in Denver, Colo. where she works as an assistant manager for a full service real estate company, Carmel Partners. Her maternal grandparents are Grace Poe and the late D.C. Poe, formerly of Fort Payne, Ala. Her paternal grandparents are Faye Smith and the late L. Earl Smith of Montgomery, Ala.

The groom elect is a 2002 graduate of South Effingham High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication. He is currently working as a sales representative for Verizon Wireless in Denver, Colo. He is the grandson of Ernest and Rachel Aids of Rincon and the late Talmadge and Betty Oglesby of Oak Park.

The couple plan to marry in Athens on June 7, 2008.
