Alicia Dianna Smithey and William Shane Arnott

Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Smithey of Rincon are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alicia Dianna Smithey, to William Shane Arnott, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Arnott of Hugheston, W.Va.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. James Sapp and the late Mary W. Sapp of Rincon and Mrs. Rose Rahn and the late Melvin Smithey of Rincon. She is a graduate of Effingham County High School and is currently the owner-operator of Smithey’s Wrecker Service in Rincon.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Carl H. and Oreda Tilley of Charleston, W.Va. and the late James and Edna Arnott of Bantam, Conn. He is a graduate of Bryan County High School and Saint Leo University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. He is a 13-year law enforcement veteran of Effingham County and is currently employed by the Guyton Police Department on a part-time basis and is currently developing a new business venture within the county.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 27, 2008, at 5 p.m. at Rincon United Methodist Church. All friends and extended families are invited to attend.
