With the last two NBA Finals being between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, the premiere players on the two teams, Stephen Curry and LeBron James, have developed a bit of a rivalry that's crossed over into their sneaker sponsors.

In the last week, both Under Armour and Nike have released ads featuring their franchise player.

Under Armour released its ad Monday.

The ad features clips of Curry practicing in a dimly lit gym along with narration by Curry and echoed by young fans, each holding a basketball.

The narration shares many criticisms about Curry and ends by talking about his championship loss.

"Missed championship?" Curry says in the ad. "That's fresh. That's new. That's interesting. Now make that old."

Nike responded with an ad on Tuesday, the opening day of the NBA regular season.

In its ad, Nike shows kids wearing LeBron gear playing basketball or walking in stereotypical high school locations like a hallway.

LeBron narrates a script that portrays him as an underdog with the phrase "You're not supposed to," repeated.

"You're not supposed to play 40 minutes and make up 40 feet and make a defensive play, a defining moment of your career," says LeBron in the video as a teen makes a block reminiscent of James' block of Andre Iguodala in Game 7 of this year's Finals. LeBron finishes with: "You're not even supposed to be here and yet...here you are."

The ad has been viewed over 4.7 million times on YouTube in the two days since it was posted.
