Children enjoyed a week of “perspiration and inspiration” at the fourth annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes camp in Effingham County.

Along with playing baseball, softball and soccer, 38 campers learned how to apply faith in sports as they enjoyed guest speakers, small group discussions and worship.

The campers played on Effingham County Recreation and Parks fields, and Springfield United Methodist Church provided the facilities for meetings and fellowship. Camp organizer Ricky Deas also thanked Kroger and Arby’s for donating snacks.
