Historic Effingham Christmas at Ebenezer will be held Nov. 25, with the gates opening at 3 p.m.
The event is a celebration of Effingham’s heritage and faith. Attendees will see how Salzburgers celebrated Christmas 270 years ago. A Christmas tour of the Old Salzburger Home will be held from 3-5 p.m., with a Christmas gathering at the New Ebenezer Retreat Center from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
The Effingham County High School chorus will perform at the tree lighting ceremony, at the retreat center, at 5 p.m.
An ecumenical worship service, with candlelight caroling, will be held from 6-7 p.m. at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
