Clyo Youth Chapter No. 375 was presented the prestigious chapter of the year award at the 39th Grand Youth Session Order of the Eastern Star, held April 24-25 in Forsyth. Clyo Youth Chapter No. 375 was recognized for an outstanding job at community service projects, workshops, current trends and issues for youth, networking with other youth chapters and supporting District events.
There are 86 youth chapters in the Grand Youth Chapter.
This year’s theme “Leaders: Working together to Make a Difference” was exemplified throughout the session.
The Clyo chapter also won first place in the Louise Harris scrapbook competition, documenting the chapter of the year award efforts. Two of Clyo’s members were elected to serve as 2015-16 Grand Youth officers, with Jazmyn Cope as marshal and Ineza Garvin as associate conductress.
The Clyo Youth Chapter expressed its sincere appreciation to all the supporters who contributed financial, spiritual guidance and in-kind support of their efforts. The Youth Chapter’s motto is “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Phil. 4:13 KJV.
Clyo Youth Chapter is under the auspices of Clyo Chapter No. 297 Order of the Eastern Star. Advisors are Sister Beverly Scott, youth directress, Sister Clara Williams, assistant youth director, and Sister Altena Garvin, worthy matron.
