Farmers Furniture in Rincon will host a fundraiser for the husband and three children of Megan Kessler, above, who died in a three-car crash on Old Augusta Road on Sept. 7.

Farmers Furniture in Rincon will host a fundraiser Dec. 13 for Daniel Kessler and his three young children.

Kessler lost his wife, Megan Kessler, 30, of Rincon, and his mother-in-law, Marlys Strempke, 54, of Allenhurst, in a three-vehicle crash Sept. 7 on Old Augusta Road. Megan Kessler was a special education teacher at Effingham County High School.

The fundraiser from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. will include a silent auction, raffle and cornhole tournament, with the proceeds going to the Kessler family. The entry fee for the cornhole tournament is $40 per team.

More than 40 vendors are expected to participate. The event also will include concessions, popcorn, cotton candy, kids games and face painting.

The vendor application deadline is Nov. 27. Donated items for the silent auction are requested by Dec. 10.
