Effingham Family Medicine, in conjunction with Effingham Health System, will host its third annual Guys Night Out, a free health education and prostate cancer screening program for those who qualify.

If you are a man between the ages of 50 and 75 and want to know if you should be screened or if you are at risk for prostate cancer, and if you want to learn about how early detection can increase your chances for surviving the disease, join Effingham Family Medicine for a program called “Making the Right Choice for Me.”

It is a free health education program presented by Dr. Claude Sanks that will give men in the community the most up-to-date information and guidelines for prostate cancer screening. Participants will be given the official decision guide provided by the CDC. For those who do qualify, a free prostate cancer screening will be provided by Dr. Romualdo Laygo.

This Guys Night Out program will be held Sept. 25 at 5:30 p.m. at Effingham Family Medicine, 1451 Highway 21 South, Suite H, Springfield. Reservations are recommended.
