McPherson named 165th senior NCO of the quarter

Senior Master Sgt. Reginald McPherson has been named as the senior non-commissioned officer of the quarter, fourth quarter 2008, for the 165th Airlift Wing.

McPherson serves as the ground/weapons safety manager for the 165th Airlift Wing. He is recognized for his excellence in managing the wing’s safety initiatives that have resulted in a 14 percent reduction in ground mishaps and a 98.1 percent seatbelt compliance rate.

He is also recognized for his exceptional service to his community, volunteering at the Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club.

He is a resident of Rincon.

Senior Airman Katie M. Johnson has been named as the airman of the quarter for the 165th Airlift Wing. Johnson serves as an air transportation journeyman in the 165th Aerial Port Flight.

She is recognized for her significant contributions to the Air Force while recently deployed to Al-Udied Air Base, Qatar, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

She is a resident of Pooler.

Technical Sgt. Walter L. Carter has been named as the non-commissioned officer of the quarter for the 165th. Carter serves as a command post controller in the 165th Airlift Wing.  

He is recognized for his dedication to training fellow airmen  and developing training initiatives within the command post.

He is a resident of Hinesville.
