National Night Out was held in Springfield on Tuesday. Groups involved with the event included area law enforcement, fire departments, Victim Witness, DFACS, Dept. of Juvenile Justice, Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Explorers, Rape Crisis Center, Habitat for Humanity, Effingham County Animal Shelter, the Red Cross, the National Guard and EMS. Hot dogs and drinks were provided to those in attendance.
