Joe Tallent, president-elect of the Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club, received the Paul Harris Fellow designation from Rotary International, for his generous contributions to the Rotary Foundation for the cure and eradication of polio.

Tallent is the occupational medicine coordinator for Effingham Hospital.
