Aaron's Lease and Sales held its ribbon cutting Dec. 20, complete with rides for the kids, face painting, giveaways and a visit from Lucky Dog, the Aaron's mascot.

Effingham County commissioners honored local youth athletes Tuesday, recognizing the GRPA state champion softball team and state track meet finalists with a proclamation declaring Aug. 9 as “Effingham Champions Day.”
