Chamber to host small business success series

A series of three seminars entitled “Small Business Success Series” will be held on Tuesday evenings during the month of May at the Effingham Chamber of Commerce in an effort to enhance existing businesses and help entrepreneurs succeed.  

The first seminar “25 Most Common Sales Mistakes and How to Avoid Them” will take place on May 6.  

The second seminar “Practical Online Marketing Tools for Small Businesses: Look Bigger Than You Are!” will be on May 13, and the third and last seminar “Managing Your Cash Flow” will take place on May 20.  Each two-hour seminar will begin at 6 p.m.  The series is designed to provide small business owners with financial and marketing tools to help make their businesses more successful.    

The seminar series is sponsored by First Effingham Bank, in conjunction with The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center and the Effingham Chamber of Commerce.  All sessions will be held at the Effingham Chamber of Commerce–Welcome Center located at 520 W. Third St., Springfield.  

The cost to attend each seminar is $39 per person for each session or a substantial savings can be realized by attending all three seminars for a cost of $99 per person.  To register, call the SBDC at (912) 651-3200 or register online at www.savannahsbdc.org.
