Effingham County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a fugitive who had been on the loose since April 7.

Deputies arrested Richard Myrick, 25, of Springfield, on Wednesday. Myrick was wanted on several methamphetamine-related charges.
Investigators received information on Myrick’s location.

Myrick ran from deputies in April after a patrol deputy observed a suspicious vehicle in the 6000 block of Clyo Kildare Road. Two other suspects, Jessica Greene, 27, of Springfield, and Johnathan Sheffield, 24, of Sylvania, were arrested on the scene on methamphetamine-related charges.
Deputies located a meth lab along with other drug related objects during the investigative stop in April.

Myrick is now being held in the Effingham County Jail without bond.

ECSO spokesman Detective David Ehsanipoor said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests could ensue.
