A fugitive wanted by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office is also facing charges of shooting at a deputy.

The ECSO said Ronnie Williams, who is still on the loose, pointed a stolen firearm at a deputy and attempted to fire the weapon during a chase Sunday night. The weapon misfired.

The ECSO also has identified the passenger in the vehicle deputies pursued Sunday night as Tyreik Walker, 17, of Savannah. Williams was the driver of the vehicle, which was reported as stolen out of Savannah.

Williams and Walker also are suspects in an attempted armed robbery early Saturday morning in Guyton, according to the Guyton Police Department.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Walker and Williams is asked to call the ECSO at 754-3449.
