The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the culprit in an alleged armed robbery Monday night.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., the Dollar General store on Highway 30 was robbed at gunpoint, according to the ECSO. The suspect was wearing several layers of clothing to conceal his identity, but is believed to be a black male that is approximately 5 feet 10 to 6 feet tall.
