The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Chatham Narcotics Team, arrested three people at a home south of Guyton, according to the ECSO.

ECSO drug investigators, in cooperation with CNT, completed a lengthy investigation April 21 into methamphetamine trafficking, obtaining a search warrant for Lee Dasher’s home. Investigators found Dasher, Ashley Shores and Tiffany Jessup at the house, all who allegedly were involved in drug activity that included trafficking meth, possession with intent to distribute meth, prescription pills and possession of firearms during the commission of a crime..

Shores and Jessup were both convicted felons at the time the arrests were made and Shores had active warrants through Chatham County

Effingham Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie said he is pleased with the cooperation and joint investigations being conducted with his drug team and CNT.

“It’s another blow to the criminal element adversely affecting our community, as well as the adjoining communities,” he said.
