ECSO seeking debit card thieves

Effingham County Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking for the public’s help to track down suspects allegedly using stolen debit cards to make purchases around Savannah and Atlanta.

Anyone able to identify either person is asked to contact Investigator Dan Mealor with the ECSO at (912) 754-3449.

Two men were arrested Tuesday in Eden after a domestic dispute led to a standoff. Deputies say George Driggers, 47, threatened his girlfriend and law enforcement with a gun, then barricaded himself inside a home. His father, Alford Driggers, 80, was also charged for allegedly threatening deputies.
