Wanted Person- Warrant Service

A woman was spotted driving down the road in a vehicle that had no tag lights. She admitted to not having her driver’s license on her and was released from the scene with a warning. A passenger was revealed to have an active warrant due to a probation violation, and she was swiftly arrested. The reporting officer was Daniel Handshumaker.

Financial Transaction Card Fraud

A woman advised that her neighbor was illegally using her daughter’s direct express card. She said that her daughter was incarcerated at the time and that she had gotten the card cancelled. Contact could not be made with the neighbor. The reporting officer was Karyn Witherington.

Failure to Keep in Proper Lane

A man was seen driving down the road in an erratic manner. He claimed that the reason he was doing this was because he was late for work. A background check revealed that his license was suspended for failure to appear, and he was placed under arrest. His friend arrived on the scene to collect the vehicle. A woman stated that four passengers started to yell and throw things at her after she picked them up in a taxi. She made all four of them get out after a short time. The four passengers counted this by claiming that they could not fasten their seatbelts, and when they told this to the woman, she slammed on brakes which caused a cup to hit the woman on the head. A man was seen driving down the road in an erratic manner. It was noted that he smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages, and he later admitted to having previously consumed five beers. He failed a field sobriety test and was swiftly arrested. His vehicle was towed by a local wrecker service. The reporting officer was Kristopher Withem.

Hit and Run- Duty of Driver to Stop at or Return to Scene of Accident

A woman stated that her daughter’s ex-boyfriend went to their house and got into a huge argument. At one point, the daughter’s father got out a gun and started waving it around. All parties confirmed this story, and the ex-boyfriend was advised to stay away from the residence. The reporting officer was Caleb Grovenstein.

Criminal Damage to Property- Second Degree

A man stated that his wife told their daughter that she needed to hang herself with the man’s belt. The man and the wife began to argue when the wife pulled out a knife and attacked the man. She left a cut and several scratches on his neck and proceeded to slash the tires on his vehicle. The wife claimed that the man attacked her, but she was arrested after she admitted to slashing the tires. The daughter requested that she stay with her grandmother. The reporting officer was Caleb Grovenstein.

Affray (Fighting)

A man stated that his girlfriend’s brother threatened to kill him if he left his sister. The girlfriend was also threatening to kill him. During the argument, the brother grabbed the man and punched him three times in the head. The brother admitted to the incident and was advised to keep away from the man. A man was spotted driving down the road in a vehicle that had no valid insurance. He stated that he thought that he had paid his insurance and that he would call a friend to pick him up. He was issued a citation, and his vehicle was towed by a local wrecker service. The reporting officer was Jason Fondren.

A woman stated that she needed to pick up items for her and her children at her ex-husband’s house. The ex-husband refused to open the front door, and when the woman entered a side door, he pushed her to the ground. The ex-husband was placed under arrest, and the woman was checked by emergency medical services, since she was eight weeks pregnant. The reporting officer was Robert Elliott Petitt.

A man who owns a vehicle rental shop stated that a man rented a truck and never returned it. He owed over $400 in interest due to failure to return the vehicle, and the rental shop could not contact him. The vehicle could not be located, and it was reported stolen. A woman stated that her son was using drugs and threatening to kill her. She also said that they had been fighting over her smoking habits and that he had a gun. At first, he refused to speak with police and only did so at the behest of his daughter. He claimed that the woman was having delusions which was confirmed after a brief evaluation. He promised to take her for further treatment at a later date. The reporting officer was Max Barber.

A man stated that his wife was texting him threats that were directed at his friend. He also noted that his wife had used drugs in the past and that he was planning on getting a divorce. The wife could not be contacted. The reporting officer was Karyn Witherington.

A woman advised that she had gotten into an argument with her neighbors in the street over the woman’s dog. During the argument, one of the neighbors grabbed the woman’s husband and tried to push him to the ground. It was noted that he smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages, and an open beer can was later found in his vehicle. It was also revealed that his license was suspended. He was transported to a local hospital, and his vehicle was towed by a local wrecker service. The reporting officer was Max Barber.
