A joint operation by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office and the Savannah-Chatham Narcotics Team has put a suspected repeat meth offender behind bars.
Late Monday afternoon, deputies located a methamphetamine lab along with a quantity of methamphetamine at a residence in the 100 block of Indica Place in Effingham County.
Richard Driggers Jr., 38, of Guyton was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine, and possession of tools during the commission of a crime. Driggers was currently out on bond from an arrest last December where he was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon along with other charges.
Driggers was taken to the Effingham County Jail. Investigators say additional arrests are expected as this is an ongoing investigation.
