State troopers from the Rincon post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 19 traffic crashes during September in Effingham County.

Sgt. 1st Class Riner said the traffic crashes resulted in 22 injuries.

Riner said troopers from Post 42 also issued 396 traffic citations in the county during the month.

The total includes 11 arrests for driving under the influence, 79 citations for speeding, 175 seat belt violations, and 13 child restraint violations.

Troopers also issued 354 warnings.
