A man who reportedly traveled to meet a 14-year-old girl at a local park turned himself in to Effingham County Sheriff's deputies late Monday night.

Chad Cooley turned himself into the Effingham County Jail around 10:30 p.m. According to the ECSO, he fled after deputies approached him at the meeting site. Cooley left in a white Dodge Challenger, committing several other offenses in the process, according to the ECSO.
