Dateline, one of NBC’s newsmagazine programs, will devote two hours to the murder trial of Craig Heidt and its aftermath tonight.

The episode, “Mystery in Effingham County,” will air from 9-11 p.m. on WSAV-TV. Dateline producers and reporters made numerous, repeated visits to Effingham County, interviewing jurors, law enforcement officials, friends and a family member. In all, more than 50 people were interviewed for the program, though not all interviews were conducted on camera.
