RINCON -- Citing work issues, Kevin Exley resigned his post on the Rincon City Council on Monday.

"My position has changed in the last eight months, committing me to a larger footprint with my company," he said in a resignation letter presented to his fellow council members. "As of last week, it has expanded even more to the point I will be relocating my family over the next few months out of the area. My time that I can spend has become increasingly smaller so please accept this as an honest approach to a good problem."

Exley is a division manager for Waste Pro USA.
