Guyton's Ashe graduates from boot camp

  • Pfc. Anthony Christopher Ashe, 19, of Guyton, graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island on Jan. 3.

  • Ashe successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD Parris Island as one of 84 recruits in Platoon 3000. 

  • While in recruit training, he accomplished the following: private first class ranking and sharpshooter status.

  •  Following 10 days home on leave, he will report to Camp Lejune for one month at Military Combat Training then Military Occupation School for Landing Operations Specialists.
