SAVANNAH -- The Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society will participate in the 200th St. Patrick’s Day parade in Savannah, and is looking for friends and volunteers to help them show up and show out.

The St. Patrick’s Day parade is Saturday, March 16, beginning at 10:15 a.m. on the corner of Gwinnett and Abercorn. According to a City of Savannah website, public parking in the city’s parking garages will be available beginning at 8 a.m. for $25.

The families of LDSS host a Float Decorating Day on Saturday, March 9, beginning at 9 a.m. at 1525 Dean Forest Rd. -- the same location as their monthly support meetings.

If you plan to ride on the float, attend the float decorating day this weekend.
