GUYTON -- Longtime Guyton resident Lucy Powell reported that the Guyton Memorial Luminary Serve at the Fergerson/Guyton cemeteries will take place Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

The cemeteries are situated behind the Guyton Post Office off of Central Boulevard.

The service aims to remember all residents who died in the past year.

One of those buried locally is remembered annually in a special way. In 2021, that individual is David Horton. At the time of his Sept. 11 death,  he was an employee of the Darien Police Department. He was 45.

The public is invited to attend.
