RINCON -- The Rincon Police Department has made an arrest in the shooting that occurred Monday night that resulted in the death of 19- year-old Kamarion Burdette.

According to investigators, the case appears to center on a botched gun sale. The sale was arranged on social media by 18-year-old Terry Bailey and the parties agreed to meet in the 200 block of Middleground Road.

When the seller, 19-year-old Trevor Scott arrived, his vehicle was surrounded by Bailey and Burdette. Burdette presented a gun in an attempt to rob Scott  and Scott presented his own gun and fired in an attempt to defend himself and flee the situation.

Today, Bailey was arrested and charged with robbery and murder and he was transported the Effingham County Jail.
