RINCON -- Consistent low health inspection scores led to the closing of the Omelette Cafe on Thursday.

The restaurant at 410 S. Columbia Ave. received a score of 14 from the Georgia Department of Public Health on Wednesday, just five days after it tallied a 48. Both scores are extremely unsatisfactory.

The  cafe was flagged for a lengthy string of violations, including a lack of proper hand washing by employees.

The second report is attached to this story.
