Schools to close Thursday

 The Effingham County School System will be closed to students and employees Thursday in anticipation of strong winds and rainfall resulting in conditions that may compromise safety, especially during the morning commute. Note that all school-related activities are canceled for Thursday.

The systemn will continue working closely with the Effingham County Emergency Management Agency to monitor weather conditions and determine ongoing school schedules. It will issue an update you on Thursday concerning Friday’s schedule.
