South Effingham slams Brunswick

Devin Stefanski socked two hits and knocked in four runs to power South Effingham to a 7-3 baseball win over the Brunswick Pirates in Brunswick on Thursday.

Stefanski drove in his first two runs with a second-inning double and the Mustangs led 5-0 before the Pirates got on the scoreboard. Jake Sapp and Blake McCollum had key singles in the third inning.

South Effingham finished with 11 hits. Sapp, Dylan Wallace and Caled Radcliffe joined Stefanski with multiple base knocks.

Hunter Morgan was the winning pitcher, working 5 2/3 innings of four-hit ball. He allowed three runs and struck out eight.

McCollum got the last four outs to earn a save.
