Effingham County’s anti-meth stance is becoming more visible.
 
In support of the Georgia Meth Project and the Effingham County Family Connections and Communities and Schools, county, school, sheriff and police vehicles will begin displaying decals with the slogan “METH not even once.”
 
“I think it’s a great thing,” said Effingham County Sheriff Office Chief Deputy Richard Bush. “It’s gonna show the public more that we have a meth problem everywhere, but particularly our county, and that we want to be proactive against it as much as we can.”

After weeks of intensive cancer treatment, Rincon Mayor Kevin Exley is returning to city hall and his full-time job in Savannah. In his first interview since ringing the cancer bell, Exley opens up about the pain, faith, and community support that carried him through the hardest chapter of his life. Now cancer-free, he reflects on the emotional journey — and the gratitude he feels to be moving forward, one step at a time.
