Special to the Herald
Advanced Academics Academy in Pooler held its first Turkey Parade on Nov. 9. Arriving in their best turkey attire, those in attendance decorated goodie bags and then enjoyed a variety of games to earn tickets. Games included a fishing game, bean bag toss, Blow Pop tree, spinning wheel, ring toss, and Plinko. After the “little turkeys” went through the games, they were able to exchange their tickets for prizes.
Advanced Academics Academy’s owner/CEO Mrs. Lori Lewis joined in on the fun and was excited when she caught not one but two fish in one turn! Girls from Girl Scout Troop 30197 were on hand to help with the event as a way of giving back to their community, and a fun time was had by all!
