Traffic signal at 21 and Brentwood to go into flash mode

A new signal at the intersection of Highway 21 and Brentwood Street in Rincon will start flashing today, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Signals will be placed in flash mode today with message boards to prepare motorists for this new traffic signal location. If weather permits, this signalized intersection will be fully operational on June 14. Local law enforcement will handle traffic control during activations.

Motorists are reminded to pay special attention to traffic control devices, signs and posted speed limits to ensure safe passage through the new traffic signal location.
