Local non-profit organizations have between now and Sept. 14 to declare their intent to apply for funding from United Way of the Coastal Empire.

Programs hoping to receive funding from United Way of the Coastal Empire must successfully complete an annual written proposal with relevant data that documents the needs.

The program funding application is available on the United Way Web site at www.uwce.org. An information session will be held July 30 at 3 p.m. at the Savannah Civic Center. Attendance is not mandatory for application submission. The submission date for completed applications is 5 p.m. on Sept. 14.  

The final decision and announcements of awards will be made in March 2010.
