Dear Editor,

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to congratulate Rincon attorney Ramona Murphy Bartos on having been appointed by the Supreme Court of Georgia as a mentor in the State Bar’s Transition to Law Practice Program.

As a mentor, Ms. Bartos will utilize her experience and expertise to impart both practical skills and the judgement, ethics and professional values new attorneys need to absorb to succeed in their efforts to serve the public effectively and to serve uprightly as officers of the court. Ms. Bartos will perform these important functions as an unpaid volunteer.

Ramona Bartos evidences the fact that Georgia lawyers are committed to service — to their clients, to the public interest in a fair, impartial and accessible justice system, and to the highest standards of law practice. I appreciate her professional spirit in taking on this important assignment.

Jeffrey O. Bramlett, President
