Lady Rebels bombard Lady Wildcats

SPRINGFIELD — Effingham County buried Region 2-AAAAAA rival Richmond Hill with a couple of offensive avalanches Thursday.

The Lady Rebels (5-1) plated four runs in the second inning and six more in the fourth en route to a 10-1 victory.

Harleigh Caine led a parade of nine hits with a pair of doubles. She also drove in three runs.

Effingham County also got two-hit performances by Addie Reynolds and Morgan Coleman. Reynolds picked up one RBI.

Rylee Mills had two RBI on her lone hit, a double.

Julia Carter was the winning pitcher. She scattered three hits and allowed one earned run. She struck out six and walked two.

Gracie Pritchcard worked the final inning, allowing no hits or walks. She fanned two.

Shelby Aiken tallied the Lady Rebels’ only stolen base.

Effingham County was flawless in the field.
