Josh Moreland had a two-run double and went six innings on the mound to lead the Effingham County Rebels to a 2-1 win Thursday over the Savannah Christian Red Raiders.

Moreland’s third-inning double was only one of four Rebel hits, but he struck out four and walked one before giving way to Jeremy Edwards.

Edwards pitched the seventh for the save.

The Rebels (7-3) will travel to Wayne County on Tuesday for a Region 3-AAAA contest.
