Reddick on a tear for Drive

Former South Effingham High star Josh Reddick went 3-for-5 with two doubles and drove in the game-winning run as the Greenville Drive defeated the Lexington (Ky.) Legends 6-5 Thursday night.

Reddick is hitting .424 with two homers, four doubles and nine RBIs in the last 10 games. For June, the 20-year-old outfielder is hitting .367 with five home runs and 15 runs batted in.

Reddick is hitting .349 for the Boston Red Sox Class A South Atlantic League affiliate with six homers and 19 RBIs. His slugging percentage is .566 and his OPS (on-base percentage plus slugging) is .959.

Fellow former South Effingham star Austin Chambliss struck out three and walked one in two innings Thursday night for the Tri-City Dust Devils against the Everett (Wash.) AquaSox.

For the season, Chambliss is 0-1 with an earned run average of 4.50. He has struck out 10 in six innings and has allowed .136 average against.
