Logan McCrae shot a two-round 82-88 170 on the Indian Mounds course at the Jekyll Island Golf Club on May 16-17 to help Effingham County to an 11th-place finish at the Class AAAAAA Girls Golf State Championships.
Jacob Fripp had a 75-79 154 to lead South Effingham to a 12th-place showing in the boys state competition.
McCrae was 14th individually among the girls. Fripp was tied for 24th in boys play.
April Moss (99-115 214) and Natalie Altman (113-101 214) were tied for 43rd while contributing to the ECHS girls team score of 598.
Gage Flowers (85-74 159 – 33rd place individually), Andrew Carr (86-76 162 – 40th) and Payton Scholl (93-96 189 – 71st) contributed to the SEHS boys team score.
