4-H cooking school had a head-on collision with homemade pies in October. Nothing says it better in fall weather, than a mouth-watering, made from scratch, homemade pie like grandma use to make.
4-H Crashers made a variety of recipes at the monthly meeting of Kitchen Crashers, where 4-H’ers experienced a hands-on approach in preparing apple, sweet potato, chocolate, and coconut pies. The 4-H’ers gained a variety of skills as they learned the importance of how to read a recipe, gather ingredients and work as a team. Some team members chopped, diced, whipped, while others added the final touches to their pies. The best part of the evening seemed to be when the 4-H’ers got to indulge in their creations.
